7th Sunday in Ordinary Time

 “So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

This week’s Marian image is another beautiful image of Our Lady, called Adoration (Mary and Jesus with Children) by Giuseppe Magni.

I love the tenderness and joy of this image.  Mary tenderly holds Jesus and is glad to see the children coming with flowers.  The children show their love and adoration to Jesus as they give him an abundance of beautiful flowers.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has, or who will, be bringing flowers for Mary at church this year.  The beauty of flowers is a very tangible and visible symbol of our love for Mary and Jesus.
