Finance Council

Role

The mission of the Finance Council is to support the pastor in his stewardship of parish resources. The Council is accountable to both the parish community and Archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis. This is a mandated body that has an advisory and consultative role with the pastor of the parish.

The council is oriented to sharing information, listening, contributing to the discussion, and promoting consensus.

Consultation is at the heart of the decision making process for the administration and stewardship of the temporal (worldly) goods of the parish. The council is oriented to sharing information, listening, contributing to the discussion, and promoting consensus. The Council must observe both canon and civil law in sound management of temporal goods of the parish.

Meetings

The Finance Council meets once a month, except for July and December. Meetings are closed to the Parish, but concerns and questions can be brought up to any of the members at any time, in person or via email. Meeting minutes are available at the back of church.
