12th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Father’s Day
“But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”
This past Friday and Saturday we celebrated the feasts of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These two special feast days are a reminder to us of the great love that Jesus and Mary have for us.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is shown with his heart crowned with thorns, representing his passion, and on fire, symbolic of his being on fire with love for us.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary is crowned with flowers, a symbol of her purity and great dignity before God, and is also on fire with love for us.
May we turn with trust to Jesus and Mary, knowing of their tremendous love for each one of us.
Here are two classic portrayals of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.
You are in my daily prayers.
God bless you,
